Holly Turner Named A-10 Co-Player Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass. - After helping the UMass women's lacrosse team to a pair of road wins last week, senior attack Holly Turner (Pittsford, N.Y.) was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Turner led the No. 24 women's lacrosse team to a pair of road victories this week with a 19-10 win at Marist and a thrilling 12-11 decision at Connecticut. The senior scored six goals, including the game-winner with seven seconds left in regulation at UConn, while adding an assist. She also had a ground ball and two caused turnovers. In the win at Marist, Turner had three goals, a roundball and two caused turnovers. At UConn, the senior had three goals and an assist. 

After five games, Turner is tied for the team lead in points (17) and ranks second on the team in goals (13). She now ranks sixth all-time at UMass for career points (204) and is fourth for career assists (96).

UMass (3-2) will next play Ohio State on Sunday, March 11 at Albright College in Reading, Pa. Game time is set for Noon.
